My Smicha
On the second day of the week, the twenty-third day of the month of Tevet,
the year 5769 from the creation of the world, here in Brooklyn, New York,
With the help of God,
Be a maggid, a teacher of Torah and a teller of tales.
Speak sacred words to the seed of Jacob.
These are the words you shall speak to the children of Israel.
In the golden chain of lineage of Rebbe Reb Shlomo Carlebach and
Rebbe Reb Zalman Schachter-Shalomi;
in the chain of the holy Baal Shem Tov,
of Eliyahu ha-Tishbi and Ahiyah ha-Shiloni,
of our master Moshe Rabbeinu, and up to the heart of heaven,
May the power from my hands and this s’micha from heaven
penetrate your soul forever.
With this, we support, strengthen, and uphold the hands of
Jim Brulé /
To live a life of the spirit, making the rounds, knocking on all doors,
the doors facing each other,
the door of the Temple, the gates of the heart, the Heart of Israel,
To return those who are lost, lost to mind, the Mind of the Most High,
With teachings and stories that draw their heart like wine
and cause them to awaken.
Arise, shine, for your light has come!
Tell, tell, Awaken, awaken, Return, return
the People of Israel and the whole world in complete repentance, from love.
Go with this your holy power to save the captured Jewish children.
May you merit to see the elevation of the glory of Israel in great joy.
